Hello!
It has been a long time since I wrote one of these, and this my first post on the new site. The topic–as the title implies–is an update on my Epic Fantasy series, Histories of Drakmoor, and I have two pieces of news to share.
“Awakening,” Volume I
As I write this, I have just completed proofing the audio for “Awakening.” I have a Word document with roughly eight pages of corrections to make, and I’d guess it’s an even split between correction for the narrator and corrections for me. Once I make these corrections, I’ll remove the page about typos, because any further changes risks negating WhisperSync for the title between the eBook and the audio on Amazon. Like the titles in my Science Fiction, Cole & Srexx, this audio title will be published wide…across many, many platforms.
However, and this is a big however, Audible is currently experiencing a significant backlog of audio titles. From what I understand, it’s not uncommon right now for their publication process to take six weeks between the time they receive the new title and when it actually appears on Amazon or Audible’s sites. Unfortunately, I have zero control over this process. The most I can do is submit the title, which I will do once my narrator tells me she has worked through the corrections.
In the meantime, enjoy a cover…
“Archmagister,” Volume III
I sent “Archmagister” to the editor on 27 March. During our conversation, she said she’d be able to start work on the manuscript on the 29th and estimated it would take about two weeks. However, this is the first time this editor and I have worked together, so I’m taking that estimate more as a hopeful thought than something carved into stone.
I’m really happy with how the story turned out, and I’m looking forward to writing the next story in the series, “Home Sweet Home.”
Here, have a cover…
Well, that’s all the news I have for the moment. Best wishes to you and yours for the coming weeks!

When will book two Histories of Dragmor be on audiable
Hi, Brenda,
Audible claimed that the audio files for “Into Vushaar” didn’t meet their quality standards and specified a decibel range. My narrator and I were both surprised by this.
At any rate, I have the ‘corrected’ files, and I’ll re-upload them shortly. Then, it’ll have to go through QA with both my audiobook distributor and Audible…so maybe late July to early August?
